The forklift operator online training program is designed to build the knowledge and decision-making skills workers need to operate equipmenty safely and in compliance with OSHA, ANSI, and CSA standards.
Organized into five progressive modules, the program builds from forklift fundamentals and equipment knowledge through to safe operation, load handling, and refueling and recharging procedures. Each module concludes with a knowledge assessment to confirm comprehension and understanding before allowing operators to advance to the next module.

The forklift operator online training program is designed in alignment with the following forklift safety standards and regulatory requirements:
- OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178 – Powered Industrial Trucks
- ANSI B56.1 – Safety Standard for Low, High Lift Trucks
- CSA B335-25 – Safety Standard for Lift Trucks
Because employers are required to comply with these standards (OSHA and ANSI in the USA, and CSA in Canada), training and certifications that have been aligned with them are seen as more valuable than those that have not been.
Practical Training Component
It’s important to note that in order to completely satisfy the requirements of the standards, workplace and equipment-specific training must be completed by the employer, along with a practical evaluation.
These workplace training components cannot be completed by any third-party provider whether they offer online or live training. The reason for this is that each workplace is different and poses unique hazards. An employer is best suited to train workers on these unique circumstances that exist within their workplace and their specific equipment.
